Hi Sandy,
as you know, we have a little zoo at our house: 2 cats, 3 dogs and a fish :-)
Here is a picture of our 2 cats, Lizzy, (in the back), and Diego, who was named after the tiger in (the movie), "Ice Age." They are cuddling up with their sock monkey. I guess they don't like the cold either!
Cheers,
Iris

My best friend, Sid!
He is so happy here. And when he is happy, he smiles a lot...
I love him so much!
EMMA
From: Jane
Emma is my best friend, We were brought together shortly after my mom
passed away.
My parents always had wanted our town
to have a no- kill Humane Society and so when I found out that the town had
gotten one started my brother and I decided to donate mom's memorial monies to
that awesome cause. When I took some donations to the shelter, a volunteer gave
me a tour. That is when I spotted my
best friend.
She, (Emma), had been abandoned in a
garage when her previous family have been evicted from their home. It was
required for her to be there 10 days before she could be adopted. At the end of
that time, I had gone back to make sure the rest of the memorial monies had
been received. Emma was still there. But not for long. My best friend
accompanied me home and has become my 5th child!

PUNKY, JR.
From: Elena
Dear Sandy,
The sweetness that is in his
heart, his lovely eyes, his tender licks, his midnight visits and hugs while I
sleep, his protective company while I walk to the kitchen at night, and many
more thoughtful things make my Punky, Jr. a so adorable best friend pet !
Thanks,
Elena
ANJELICA JANE and ANGELICO
From: Michele
The first picture shows how my Anjelica Jane lets me know
that she disapproves of my dislike of air conditioning (she won and I put an AC
unit in the spare bedroom for her!).
The last photo shows my Angelico when I take a shower. He paces around the rim of the claw foot tub, crying, and periodically poking his head in and gives me a wild look like a toddler as if to say, "Why are you doing this to me?"
XO,
Michele
MR. BING, LILLY and HEIDI
From: Rev. Pam and Todd
Hi, Sandy:
Lilly and Heidi are Mr. Bing's back-up, Go-Go Girls. He watches over them.
Mr. Bing is 11 years young. He's a male Maltese and THE best, little dude around! He was named, Mr. Bing, because he is such a gentleman.
Mr. Bing is every girl's dream: polite, loyal, honest, entertaining, protective and he never pees in the house!
MONICA

DORA
From: Calean A.
Hi, Sandy,
Here is a picture of my 4 yr old son, Sean and his dog, Dora. We received a call from the local City Kennel about an awesome dog that was deemed to be a Pit and would be put down if we could not foster it. I did hesitate, and even said, "no." They talked me into coming down with the kids and meeting the dog.
It was only seconds before Dora, (who was still nameless), was laying on the floor with my kids. In this picture, you can see why saving this life was only the beginning to a long friendship. You see, Dora lives with us full time now, and takes good care of her new family!
God Bless all the shelter dogs that are not as lucky as our little Dora.
NALA
From: Small Family
We adopted Nala April 2008 when she was 2 years old. She is the smartest and best cat that we have ever had. She's a very important member of our family.
PUNKIN
From: Amanda B.
This is my best friend
Punkin. She has been there, attached at my hip, through the last 4 1/2 years.
She knows me more than any other soul on this planet, and if I win, I want to
know how her life was before we met. I love her, and she loves me. I cannot imagine my life without her.
BUTTERCUP
From: Marysia W.
My name is Marysia and I am
Buttercup's guardian.
Although fairly new to the
planet, (she is only 11 months old) Buttercup has had plenty of adventure in
her life, including a near brush with death at the shelter and then a
miraculous eleventh hour rescue and new foster home.
Buttercup is adorable because
she is funny and smart and curious and has a big warm heart that encompasses
and loves everyone!

HERMES

to love him back.
SPINZ and GRINZ
From Dena W.
MARVIN
From Brenda W.
This is Marvin, a four year
old donkey that is 38” tall at the shoulder. He is extremely cuddly, he
likes to snuggle, he enjoys pulling me around in a cart, and he is an absolute
joy to be around.
My guy Marvin is the most
adorable because he has the personality, the cuteness, and the biggest most
tender heart a donkey ever had. Love goes beyond just the normal pet
species of dogs and cats and into the barnyard! He is an excellent loving
being to share our lives with and he will live 40-60 years. There is a
real chance Marvin and I will be together for the rest of my life. Now
that’s a pet worth having!
Thank you and blessed be your
work.
